Empyrios came to light in the fall of 2001 by the mastermind guitar virtuoso Simone Mularoni (DGM) and Matteo Mastroianni, with the will to create something different in the metal panorama. Their ambition was to push forward their concrete foundation on progressive metal, built on extreme musicianship and feeling, bastardized with aggression and spicing it up with a touch of the finest guitar and keyboard solos and symphonic orchestra passages.
